How to draw a spiral in photoshop?

In this tutorial, you are going to learn how to draw a spiral in Photoshop. The process is pretty simple and easy.

Follow the following steps.

Step 1: Create a document

Create a new document in Photoshop with your desired pixel size. If you want a perfect spiral, make sure your document size must be a square shape with the same height and width.

2) Select half of the square

To find out the exact half of the square, use a guide.

File -> View -> New Guide -> (Horizontal. Position :50%) and press enter.

Now, select half of the square by using the “Rectangular Marquee Tool” and filled the marquee in black.

Now, to deselect your “Rectangular Marquee Tool”, press “Control + D” on a window or “Command + D” on a Mac.

3) Select Twirl:

Select Filter -> Distort -> Twirl.

Now adjust the angle of the twirl up and down to make your spiral.

Remember moving your angle into a negative value will make your spiral in the anticlockwise direction.

4) Control + F or Command + F

Once you have a beginning of the spiral, repeat the process by pressing “Control + F” or “Command + F” until you don’t get your desired spiral.
