You are reading this blog means you want to enable or disable your Prestashop website from the database. Enable/Disable Prestashop straight away from the Prestashop administration is pretty easy but you want to do it from the database.

Not a problem, Follow the steps below to disable the Prestashop shop from the database. Before we start, Keep in mind the value “1” shows the shop is enabled and a value “0” shows the shop is disabled.

Step 1: Log in to your phpMyAdmin

First of all, log in to your hosting server, select the database, and navigate to the phpMyAdmin. Your database’s phpMyAdmin will open in a new tab. See a screenshot of phpMyAdmin.

Step 2: Expand “+database”

Expand your database on the left side panel and look for the ps_configuration table. If you don’t see the ps_configuration table go to page 2 and continue searching on each page until you don’t find the ps_configuration table. I have found it on page 2.

Click on ps_configuration on the left-hand panel. All the tables used on ps_configuration are open on the right-hand side.

Now, is the time to look for PS_SHOP_ENABLE. For each search, change the number of rows searched to 50 and look by scrolling down or searching straight away from the search tab whichever you feel is easier.

See the below screenshot which I searched straight away and you can see the value of PS_SHOP_ENABLE is 1, which indicates the shop is enabled. To disable, change the value to 0.

Simply click the edit button and change the value and click “GO” to save.

PS_SHOP_ENABLE

That’s it. This is how you change your shop maintenance mode from the database.
